Our Mission

At Healing Hearts & Minds, we believe that premium, evidence-based behavioral healthcare should never be a luxury. Our dedicated community mission is to dismantle barriers to mental health optimization by providing elite clinical therapy to Medi-Cal beneficiaries, low-income families, and marginalized populations navigating high-acuity mental health challenges.

We are structurally engineered to deliver primarily telehealth-based, culturally competent, and field-aligned behavioral health services designed to meet individuals exactly where they are—bringing life-changing care directly to California’s safety-net communities.

Who We Serve: Statewide Safety-Net Care

While rooted in the Central Valley, our advanced secure telehealth infrastructure allows us to bridge the care gap across California. We specifically prioritize and accept clients residing within major high-need service regions, including:

  • San Joaquin County

  • Santa Clara County

  • Alameda County

  • Los Angeles County

Approved Insurance & Managed Care Partners

To ensure a frictionless healthcare experience for our safety-net clients, Healing Hearts & Minds partners with major regional Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans (MCPs) via strategic independent contracting networks (including Grow Therapy group alignments). We accept and streamline authorization for:

  • Health Net

  • Santa Clara Family Health Plan (SCFHP)

  • L.A. Care Health Plan

  • And other major California Medi-Cal managed care and fee-for-service systems.

Financial Justice & Accessibility Programs

We recognize that the uninsured and underinsured represent California's most vulnerable healthcare gap. Healing Hearts & Minds reserves a dedicated 50% minimum threshold of our total active caseload for public-interest care structures:

1. 100% Free / Pro-Bono Services

Dedicated clinical slots reserved exclusively for unhoused/homeless individuals, youth in transition, or individuals experiencing extreme economic crises who lack any form of active insurance coverage.

2. Sliding-Fee Scale (SFS) for Low-Income Individuals

A variable, deeply subsidized fee-for-service schedule mapped directly to the Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG). This ensures that low-income workers, individuals with significant disabilities, and qualifying families can access premium clinical care without facing severe financial distress.

Advanced Evidence-Based Clinical Services Offered

Clients entering our community care program receive access to gold-standard, high-acuity treatment modalities specifically tailored to treat trauma, complex mood disorders, anxiety, and systemic stressors:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): Specialized trauma-informed processing to help marginalized individuals recover from chronic systemic, community, or acute trauma.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Evidence-based, goal-oriented interventions aimed at identifying and shifting unhelpful cognitive patterns, managing severe anxiety, and stabilizing mood disorders.

  • Trauma-Informed Care: A comprehensive, compassionate framework embedded into every therapeutic interaction that prioritizes emotional safety, empowerment, and a deep understanding of how historical and community trauma affects overall psychological wellness.

Language Access & Culturally Competent Care

To ensure equitable access to high-quality behavioral health services, Healing Hearts & Minds provides fully bilingual clinical therapy. We offer direct, native-language clinical assessments and ongoing therapeutic interventions in Vietnamese, specifically supporting first-generation immigrants, elders, and families within California’s vibrant Asian-American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities who face significant language barriers to care.
